What a wonderful day~

I got something in the mail! The mail lady came while I was Skyping (and supposed to be cleaning my house. Oops. ;D), so I sat on my couch and stalked my window until she finally pulled away from the mailboxes! My dog thought there was something interesting out there, so at least I wasn't the only one staring...
So then I threw on a pair of my step dads old sandals (and damn does he have big feet!) to clomp my way out to the mail box~ I grabbed everything in there, and then tracked mud all over the nice clean kitchen floor. D:
But lo and behold! A letter!

The first one from my new penpal in France. : D
I was so excited to receive this! She's such a sweet person!
The paper is adorable! We both share a love of  "The Aristocats" I had to sit and "awww!" when I first saw the paper. It's just too cute! :D She also sent me a post card as well, and it is very pretty. So I'm working on a reply to this~
Ah! I didn't realize it, but the postcard is blocking the cute penguin on the envelope! D: Sad!
And this week's outgoing mail (so far)

Letters to Tiina and Shelby. Both were sent out a little bit ago, so they should probably get to their destinations soon!

And today I finally discovered a way to be able to write on unlined paper without having crooked lines!
I taped lined paper to my folder that holds all my stationery. >:D This only works with papers that are very light, but since the ones that I am currently using are just so, it's not a problem! I don't know what I will do once I get some that are too thick for this! D: And it took me this long to figure this idea out... Yeah, I'm not the brightest crayon in the box. XD'

I went to the library today...

Well, I go almost every day. But today I decided to finally get a new card. And the quote is awesome.
"When I got my library card, that was when my life began"
And I have a few new books to read. I'm currently reading "Between the Sea and Sky". Besides the fact that the author's writing seems to be really simplistic, I love this book so far. I'm only half way through, but I am in love with the characters Esmerine and Alender!  And the mermaids/sirens in the book, and the winged people~ I'm not going to say too much since I haven't finished, but I am loving this book so far! Mmm~
I'll try to write a review when I finish or something. :'D

Nothing new in the mail, unfortunately.Well, I don't know. My mom left without checking the mail or leaving the key. So I have to wait until she gets back from the Realtor.

But my life did get a bit more interesting. My grandfather invited me to come hang out with him on the weekends and to bring my siblings, and on our first day out there, we did the most amazing thing!

I drove a horse carriage!

It took us a long time, and we only did it around his farm, but it was so much fun!

This is the horse. :D His name is Midnight.

He is so much fun to brush. I felt like I could sit there and brush him forever. And he is so pretty! I believe that he used to be a show horse, before my grandpa stopped showing. And he is really sweet, even if he has a bit of an attitude when he is hungry. :'D
It was really hard to put all this gear on. It was very confusing to figure out what everything was. D:

And then we all hung out with my grandfather and made burgers and ate dried fruit. And made plans for this Sunday.

Apparently...

I deleted my introduction post.

So..Erm..
Hello, I guess. I'm Destiny, and I am 17, and reside in the USA. Washington, to be more specific. And when I say Washington, I mean the state, not Washington. D.C. There is a difference! They are not the same place at all!
I'm also (quite a bit of) a ditz. I always forget, misplace, or lose things. It's quite sad. And the fact that my room is filled with useless stuff and half finished crafts doesn't help a bit when it comes to finding things.

I can't remember what I put in the last post, so I hope I don't miss anything important!

I am absolutely in love with snail mailing. It's an absolutely amazing past time, and I am surprised that not many more people do it. Really surprised. But I have met some of the most amazing people from this, and I am so glad that I started. They all have, and will always have, a special place in my heart.
And this blog. XD I'm sure that I will post a lot about them. And snail mail in general. But there will be other things I post on here about!

Such as, cosplay!

This one wont appear as often as snail mail will, because I don't cosplay very often. It's usually only when my friends come over and force me into it. It's not that I don't like it, but because I am very self conscious. My friends, on the other hand, are the kind of people who will willingly walk around Walmart in a banana suit. Which one of them happens to own, and has probably done.
I don't know why, either.

And, there is also crafts.
I can't get too specific on this one, because all kinds of crafts interest me. I crochet (and want to learn to knit), make bracelets, do origami, draw, paint, do paper crafts. There's a whole list. Usually I stumble upon something and then, if I decide that I like it, I will continue to do it.

I think that's most of what I covered. And if I remember anything else, then I will be sure to mention it somehow.

Today in the mail, I got...

A post card!
For some reason, it wont let me upload it the correct way...

It's from the UK (England), and it is my first ever postcard received from Postcrossing! I have 5 more that are 'traveling', but I wont receive another one for some time. But this is still so exciting! My wall will one day be filled with postcards!
My wall so far. :D It's a really dark picture, though.
Most of them are from the same person. <3
